Program Objectives
- To develop the participants’ practical ability to solve functional business issues, develop business strategy, and to lead change through an action-learning process

EMBA in Three Modules
- Module 1: Postgraduate Certificate, Leading Business Development (five months)..
- Module 2: Postgraduate Diploma, Leading International Business Development (five months).
- Module 3: The EMBA Degree, Leadership and International Business Development (five months).
The three modules of the EMBA curriculum feature a dual structure involving a business learning and a leadership learning part. The entire program is based on these interdependent parts.

The program is run over a period of 15 months offered on alternating weekends(2 per month) as follows:
- Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm
- Saturday 8.30am – 5.30pm
- Sunday 8.30am – 4.00pm
In each module the first session involves four days and begins on a Thursday. Tutoring and facilitation of assignments will be done on alternate Fridays in weeks with no classes from 5.30pm to 8pm.

Faculty
The program is taught by international faculty with experience from leading European MBA institutions including Copenhagen Business School, IMD (Lausanne), London Business School, Maastricht School of Business, and Said Business School (Oxford). The international faculty is supported by specially trained tutors and facilitators with experience from Kenyan business organizations. Admission Requirements
- Six years working experience
- Management experience
- A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
In general: Candidates must have a level of maturity consistent with the demands of a professional program for current or future senior business executives. Ideally they should be co-sponsored by their organization failure to which individuals pay the fee themselves. In any case, the supporting company must sign an agreement that the candidate will be allowed to attend classes on scheduled course days (typically two Fridays a month) and to get access to key data of relevance for the assignments.

To apply for admission, completed personal and supporting company application forms must be submitted together with a photo of the applicant.The IU IEEC Admission Panel will conduct the admission interview, which lasts 45 minutes.
Perfomance Standards
The three modules involve more than 720 class-hour equivalents, consistent with the curriculum standards for accreditation of EMBA Programs by AABS, the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), and EQUIS
The participant’s performance is evaluated through in-company analyses, oral and written examinations, and group projects, as well as evaluation of class participation. The Certificate, Diploma, and Degree will be signed by CBS CCE and IU IEEC.
Fees,Expenses and Payment Schedule
Participants and their supporting companies jointly face the challenge of making sure that both parties get a return on their investment through the participant’s attainment of new skills, changed behavior, and through learning from the required in-company assignments.
- The certificate module: KShs 220,000.
- The diploma module: KShs. 220,000.
- The degree module: KShs 220,000
EEC will Endeavour to look for organizations and companies that have the plan/desire to be repositioned globally for the scheduled international research in module 2. The purpose of this is to give participants international experience required. In the event that IEEC does not get such organizations, participants will be required to meet their travel and accommodation costs for the trip. The cost may be up to Ksh. 200,000.
The fees above include meals, refreshments and hand out materials. Participants must include a cost of KShs 50,000 for recommended books covering the entire program.Participants will be expected to pay 60% of the tuition fee before or on entry of a module, and 40% at the beginning of the third month of the module.

The IU IEEC Strategy Award
Each year nine months after the completion of the EMBA program, the IU IEEC Strategy Award is given to a company and its graduate, which have demonstrated extraordinary results in implementing changes derived from the final EMBA strategy project. Supporting companies and alumni from each year’s graduating class are invited to compete for the award.
To be nominated, the alumnus’ supporting company under direct or indirect leadership of the alumnus will have involved itself in implementing the recommendations of the strategy project, or otherwise have demonstrated significant learning from the project process.

Finance & Accounting Bridging Course
For business executives with no or little exposure to finance and accounting, IU IEEC/CBS CCE is offering a three-day introductory course. The program is primarily designed for applicants to the EMBA program, who have been requested by the Admission Panel to improve their skills in finance & accounting before the program starts. The program fee is KShs 25,000.
